Powder Coating Training at SAFE-door Industries

It’s been a busy start to July at SAFE-door Industries with three members of staff undertaking an intensive two-day specialist powder coating training course, ran in our in-house powder coating facility here at our Brampton HQ.

The course, provided by Ad Qual Castech, a member of the Paint Research Association and Fellows of the Institute of Metal Finishing, had both a theory and practical content. Special attention was given to process and testing to ensure that our final product has the highest level of protection and finish for our end customer.

Our newest qualified powder coater, Ian Marshall (pictured), said

I thought the course was spot-on. It was really interesting to learn about the processes involved in powder coating, especially the priming and preparation required. It’s given me a lot to take away for future reference.

Applied as standard to our market leading Thermaster and Thermaspeed high-speed thermal doors as well as to our Soundroll acoustic shutters, the polyester powder coat ensures a longer lasting higher quality surface finish compared to a traditional spray painted frame.
