Installation at EfW Power
SAFE-door Industries Ltd is pleased to announce the completion of yet another high attenuation acoustic door project, this time at the University of Hertfordshire’s brand new Energy Centre in Hatfield, UK.
Part of a wider University project to provide 2,511 new student bedrooms, the Energy Centre will provide Combined Heat and Power (CHP) to the new accommodation facilities, generating both heating and electricity primarily from environmentally sustainable woodchips.
Due to the building constraints of having residential accommodation in such close proximity, a special design of high attenuation door solution was required and SAFE-door Industries was able to provide a pair of bespoke Soundroll 53 door sets to solve this problem.
This project at the University of Hertfordshire joins an extending portfolio of Energy from Waste (EfW) installations for SAFE-door Industries, with innovative solutions having been installed for a number of clients including: United Utilities, SITA UK (SUEZ), Drax Power Station, 2OC Beckton CHiP and Veolia Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility.
