Thermaslide
Our horizontal sliding doors provide a high speed solution to applications where speed of operation is critical. Typically found in frozen food distribution applications but also found in many cold stores as the speed of operation and low operating power requirements ensure the smallest carbon footprint possible.

Key Features:

Opening speed - single slide: Up to 2.0 m/sec. (subject to door size)
Opening speed - bi-parting: Up to 4.0 m/sec. (subject to door size)
Closing speed: User variable to suit application
Track: Heavy duty stainless steel running gear, with a tapertrack system to allow high speed and quiet operation

Technical Data:

Panel thickness: 120 mm
Standard panel: Stainless steel circle polish finish
Panel options: Brush stainless steel or to specific RAL colour
Thermal conductivity (panel): U-Value: 0.16 W/m2 K
Sealing: Double EPDM rubber seals with twin lip to all perimeter joints
Heating: To wall joints and on bi-parting doors to centre seal joint
Framing: Wall fitted with plastic heated sections around three sides of opening
Controller: Frequency converter with 24V microprocessor, 230VAC up to a door panel area of 10m2, 400VAC for a door panel area over 10m2

Local controls: Keypad on control panel fascia with "Open, Stop and Close", E-stop pushbutton - twist to reset, panel interlocked mains power isolator with padlockable facility. Volt free contacts for door open and closed. Variable time delay open facility between 1 and 300 seconds. Direct LCD plain English diagnostics display.

Extendability: Prepared to accept a multitude of inputs from induction loop detectors, motion detectors, pull cords, pushbuttons etc.

Cabinet: Available in stainless steel as an option
Motor gearbox: Specifically designed for use on high speed doors

Gearbox features: Robust low maintenance drive unit with integrated incremental encoder for accurate positioning. Self adjusting motor brake with universal mounting either right hand or left hand of the door. Manual operation from ground level via the integrated chain hoist for emergency operation.
Drive: Actuating the emergency unlocking device releases the motor brake. The door can then be pulled open and closed manually
Optical safety: The door area is monitored by a heated sender-receiver light barrier (IP 67).

Safety edge: The leading edge of the door is equipped with a self-monitoring contact strip to protect personnel or the door if it comes into contact with an object.

Operation in failure mode: The door control automatically switches to deadman's operation when a safety device fails.

Standards: The door complies with the requirements of EN 12453.
Door speeds: Our doors can operate at such high speeds due to the detail design that we put into the drive system. A friction free drive with a combined drive and suspension system ensures efficiency and free operation. We combine this with a microprocessor drive system and speed away from our competition.
